A POWERFUL ’PLANE.
TO REPLACE SAMOAN CLIPPER. SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 14. One of the largest and most powerful ocean-going 'planes will probably replace the Samoan Clipper in a few months’ time. It is recalled that before the loss of the clipper Pan-American Airways stated that a 42-ton 72-passenger ’plane was being specially built for the route and would be ready for test flights in March.
