DEFENCE EXERCISES.

ADDITIONAL UNITS. (British Official AArireless.) Received January 15, 10.58 a.m. RUGBY, Jan. 15. In addition to the naval units taking part in the combined operations at Singapore, beginning in February, the troops of the Singapore garrison and volunteers, reinforced by the First and Second Punjab Regiments and the Malay Regiment, and the Royal Air Force squadrons at Singapore, reinforced by some units from India and Iraq, will take part in exercises which will be on the same scale as last year. _ Vice-Admira.l Sir Alexander Ramsay will be in command of the naval forces, Major-General W. G. S. Dobbie in command of the military forces and Air-Marshal A. W. Tedder in command of the air forces.
