The summer meeting of the South Canterbury Trotting Club was held at the Washdyke course under favourable weather conditions, in the presence, of a large attendance. They track was m excellent order. CLAREMONT HANDICAP, of £115; trottcre; 3.44 class. One mile and a half.— 1 Pcggotty, scr (Behrns) 1; 3 Parrish Guide, scr, 2; 6 Bon Chance, scr, 3. Scr: Paving guest. A length; twelve lengths. Times: 3.32 1-5, 3.32 2-5, 5.38.
