VALUES IN LONDON. LAMB MARKET STEADY. The lamb market is steady and unchanged. Consumption continues good. Mutton market: Wethers quiet but firm. Ewes: Lightweights slightly easier, other descriptions unchanged, with trade slow. Beef market: Frozen beef, market steady and unchanged. Chilled beef, hindquarters easier owing to heavier supplies; fores firmer owing to cooler weather. New Zealand porker pigs: Market quiet and steady, with prices unchanged. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board, which advises that the following represent prices realised on Thursday based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned and are for representative parcels of the goods offering that day, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market and-or ex London stores.
