RIGGED THE MARKET.
WALL STREET EXPELS “BULL.” NEW YORK, Aug. 8. Michael J. Meehan, a Broadway ticket-agent, who became one of Wall Street’s beet-known “bulls,” was expelled from the New York Stock and Kerb Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. Head of the brokerage firm bearing his name, Meehan was convicted by the Securities and Exchange Commission of having “rigged the market” in 1935 with the ordinary stocks of the Bellanca Aircraft Corporation.
