TEAM AGAINST OTAGO. MANAWATU’S ELECT. The following team lias been announced by the sole selector, 'Mr J. A. Colquhoun as the Manawatu side to play the Otago touring team on Wednesday next: — Full-back: Wuldin. Three-quarters: It. Gillespie, G. Wasley, D. Buick. Five-eighths: J. Finlay (second), J. Nicol, ' Half-back: B. Irvine (vice-captain). Forwards: Fleming, Ewart, Sullivan (front row), Powell, Williams (locks), Terr.v, It. M. McKenzie captain (sides), 1,. Findlay (rear). Emergencies: Newman, L. Beard, O’Dea, Whyte (forwards); Thomas and Betteridge (ba.cks). Following the victory of the Manawatu representative team over Southland this week, Unusual interest attaches to the visit of Otago on Wednesday next. The ex-shield holders, it is reported, have taken a particularly strong team on tour and it includes the All Black, Trevathan, who played such an outstanding game in the Test match last Saturday. Ma.nawatu are strengthened by the inclusion of McKenzie, and indications point to the fixture bein gthe best match of the season.
