RAIN DEVELOPING. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 21. A depression extends in a north to south direction from east of the North Island across the south, but is losing intensity. A deep depression is, however. centred off the coast of NewSouth Wales. Pressure is still high to the east. Forecast: Light to moderate northcast to northerly winds, gradually freshening. Weather: Fair at first lint dull, misty conditions slowly setting in and rain developing within 48 hours. Temperatures mild. Seas slight to moderate. but later rising.
