CAMPAIGN ORGANISED

ADVOCACY IN BRITAIN,

LONDON, Aug. 20. Interested societies are urging the resumption of State-aided Empire migration and a campaign will be opened at the Guildhall on October 11 by the Lord Mayor, who will submit a resolution asking the British Government, to invite representatives of the Dominion. Governments to consider the possibility of making early preparations for a settlement and to indicate their readiness to give credit facilities to approved schemes. Mr H. D. Donaldson, secretary of the conference, declared that Canada and Australia were increasingly convinced that unless the disparity between the influx of British and aliens was speedily corrected grave Imperial issues would arise. j The speakers will include Lord Bledisloe. Lord Elibank and the Bishop or London.
