A check of the gate receipts for the Springboks’ match at Blenheim on Wednesday discloses a total of £6BB. The attendance was 4500.—Press Association. When a choir of fifty children, under the care of Madame Mercer, who are to participate in the annual Wellington competitions, arrived at Palmerston North from Napier iat 12.55 p.m. to-day, they were met by several members of the Palmerston North Rotary Club, at the request of the Napier Rotary Club, who assisted in obtaining refreshments for the children. The children will return to Napier on Wednesday next and a similar service will be rendered them again by the club on their arrival at Palmerston North.
