BRITISH INTERESTS.
ALL PRECAUTIONS TAKEN. (British Official Wireless.) Received August 19 11.18 a.m. RUGBF, Aug. 18. At yesterday’s meeting of the British Ministers at the foreign Office, at which all possible measures to protect British lives, and interests in Shanghai were decided upon, the wider questions affecting the issues involved in the Far Eastern situation were also considered. Shanghai newspaper reports which have appeared in certain quarters regarding the nature of the decisions taken in this respect are. however, premature.
