OUTSTANDING SIRE.
FOR MANAWATU DISTRICT
Mr A. Montgomerie, of Kanwdiata, Palmerston North, has been successful in securing through the stud stock department of the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., a valuable addition to his very fine Jersey herd in the purchase of a rising two-year-old pedigree show bull, Tuhirangi Dreadnought, from Mr R. S. U. Wellington, of Tuhirangi, Mastorton. This splendid voting sire Is a son of Mr Wellington’s 'beautiful V.ILC. cow, Tuhirangi Duchess, winner of many prizes and championships in tho show ring. Duchess has also the proud distinction of being the highest producing cow in the Wairarapa under G.O.U. test, producing as a i'onr-vcar-old 797.91 b of butterfat. On his sire side Tuhirangi Dreadnought is also broil in the purple for production, having been line bred hack to tho phenomenal producer Erinvicw Queen Bee, official herd test ol 7771 b butterfat in the 305 days, and following on in. the next season C.0.1t. 88011) fat Through the purchase of such a wonderful butterfat backed sire, Mr Montgomerie must surety enhance the va.ue oi liis .already well-known stud.
