(From Our Own Correspondent.) MILSON, Aug. 19. The Arbor Day celebrations wero held at the Milson School on Wednesday afternoon, when members of the committee wero present. Mr McEwen (headmaster) opened (he proceedings with a talk on the day, and explainer! to the children its meaning and importance. A recitation, “Plant Me a Tree,” was given by Don Gilbert and "Trees,” by Marie Blackwood. Julie Eaton and Betty Board also recited. “I Like Trees Best,” while pupils of standards 2 and 3 (girls) gave a recitation. Trees wero then planted bv Tres Brewer and John Hill, Anice Gilbert and Duncan Blackwood, No,la Pearce and Bill Bennetto, Lionel Wright and Ronald Eaton. A return football match has been arranged by Taumarunui railway to play Palmerston North railway at Milson during tho coming week-end. The following players will represent Palmerston North:— T. Pritchard, Reid, Parrott. Robinson, Gillespie, Qingg, Pauling, McCashin, Howard, Dew, Reid (locomotive), Thossman, Horsfall. Tippott and Pike. Reserves: White, Rodshaw, Symons and Kilgour,
