OBITUARY.

MRS DAVID JONES,

(By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 18 Mrs Elizabeth Jones, the wife of Mr David Jones, member of the Executive Commission of Agriculture, died suddenly yesterday at her residence, Wadestown, Wellington. She had been in apparently good health and Mr Jones had left on Monday night lor the south, only to be recalled from Christchurch by the sad news. He flew back to Wellington yesterday. The deceased lady had made a large circle of friends since making her home in Wellington, and only a tew months ago Mr Jones had purchased the former home of Mr Justice Smith, Wadestown Road. . , . The funeral, which is private, takes place to-morrow at Karori. Deceased s family comprise one son and four daughters.
