CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 17. The'three Test match victories scored bv New Zealand on' Saturday last—the Riu'bv Union win over South Africa at Wellington, the Rugby League success over Australia at -Auckland, and the victory over Australia at hoc]<ev — u -ere referred to at the conference of delegates of sports bodies at Paliament House to-day. Mr F. Dunn (Christchurch) moved that this conference of New Zealand sports organisations congratulates the plavers in those three New Zealand teams, which, on Saturday. their respective international Test matches. Mr Dunn said that these three victories hv New Zealand on the playing fields were a complete refutation of the allegation that New Zeajaml s athletes were becoming decadent. The motion was seconded bv Mr. J II Poulter (New Zealand Ladies Hockey Association) and earned amid applause. -
