SPRINGBOKS RELAX.
PREPARATION FOR MATCH. BLENHEIM GROUND FIERY. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, Aug. 18. Relaxing after the strain and excitement of the first Test, the Springboks have- spent a quiet time since their arrival in Blenheim. In fact, at their own special request they have been left severely alone. The only formal functions will be tendered after to-day’s match. Some players indulged in a light work-out yesterday afternoon and others played golf. All retired early to make up the arrears of sleep lost while travelling. Last evening Lyster and Lawton* whose profession is the law, were the guests of the Marlborough Law Society at a dinner tendered the Minister of Justice (Hon. H. G. R. Mason} on the occasion of the laying of the foundation stone of the new Courthouse. Hi is morning the team made a motor tour of the district. •
The weather to-day is brilliant and the ground will be fast and fiery after the prolonged dry spell. A large crowd Ss assembling from a wide territory covering practically the whole of the top half of the South Island, from which the Combined team is drawn. The tourists will leave by bus for Christchurch to-morrow morning.
