Mrs R. Atmore, of Waitara, is spending a fortnight’s holiday in Palmerston North. Mrs E. D. 'Wycherley, of Albert Street, is visiting Napier. Mrs A. M. Sears has returned to Palmerston North after spending 15 months abroad, and is staying with her son, Mr E. J. Sears, of Victoria Avenue. Miss G. Telford, of Christchurch, has returned home after spending a holiday as the guest of Mrs L. Poole, of Palmerston North. Miss M. McGregor, of Masterton, is visiting Bunnytliorpe. Mrs Peggy Swift, of Apiti, who has been spending a holiday in Napier, has returned home. Mr W. F. Swift, of the Tourist Department, Wellington, is spending a holiday with his mother in Apiti. Mrs M. J. Lynsky and Miss J. Lynsky, of Christchurch, will spend the next lew months in Palmerston North. Misses M. Ward and L. Jackson will fly from Christchurch this week to visit them. At the monthly meeting of the council of the Manawatu branch of the Registered Nurses’ Association, the president (Miss C. McKenny) extended congratulations to Miss L. Banks, on behalf of the branch, on her appointment as matron of the Palmerston North Hospital.
