INDOOR BOWLS.

PAIRS TOURNAMENT BEGINS. A pairs tournament, operated on the two-life system, was commenced at the last meeting of the Tndoor Bo wling Association. Two games, each of eleven heads, were played, and two additional games will be played each night until all but the winning pair are eliminated.

The result of the games played is as follows, skips being mentioned last G. Scales and E. Burrell 11 v. Mrs Hansen and J. J. Cox 8, Larsen and M. Bailey 8 v. 'Mrs Scales and J. Drury 9, Mrs Drake and E. W. Drake 7 v. Gill and J. Tantrum 8, G. King and R. Andrew 7 v. Mrs Andrew and B. King 10, I. Johnson and A. Dawick 6 v. Bird and It. Stewart 10. Second game: Burrell 7 v. Stewart 9, Tantrum 9 v. King 8, Cox 11 v. Bailey 5, Drake 10 v. Andrew 9. The following players are required to play to-morrow night: First game, Johnson and Hansen play Frisk and Hunt, Perssoti and Fisher play Miss Underwood and Bowler, Beattie and Farrar play Mrs Andrew and YVass, GKink and Hancock play Bird and Peterana. Second game: Mrs Andrew and YVass play Bird and Peterana, Beattie and Farrar play Mrs Scales and Drury, Manning and Lord play G. King and Hancock, Prisk and Hunt play Miss Underwood and Bowler. During the tournament a spare carpet will be available each night for players not playing pairs games.
