BOXING MANAGER.

IMPRESSED BY FARR

LONG BRANCH (New Jersey), August 15,

Mr Alweill, manager of the boxer, Lou Ambers, after watching Tommy Farr spar five rounds, dramatically offered Mr Broadribb 35,000 dollars for his manager’s contract plus 25 per cent, of Farr’s championship purse, representing at least 1.65,000 dollars Mr Broadribb replied that he would not consider it utiles it was agreeable to Farr, who exclaimed: “I do not want another manager.” This appears to dispose of rumours that Farr and Mr Broadribb are quarrelling It also indicates how the American experts regard Farr’s chances despite the fact that the betting odds favour Louis substantially.
