ARRIVAL IN FLORIDA
GERMAN FLYING-BOAT. NEW AIR MAIL ROUTE. FLIGHT VIA LISBON. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received August 17, 11.10 a.m. PORT WASHINGTON (Florida), Aug. 16. The German flying-boat Nordmeer lias arrived from Travemuende, via Lisbon and Horta. The 'Nordmeer is a Diesel, four-en-gined flying-boat. With this crossing it completed the first of eight experimental air mail service flights via the new route. German experts believe that a regular service can be established this autumn, thus beating the establishment of the Anglo-America service over the Atlantic by six months. The stages of tho new route are— Travemueude-Lisbon, 1480 miles; Lis-bon-Horta, 1050 miles; liorta-New York, 2324 miles.
