OBITUARY.
MR A. MORGAN. With the passing on Saturday of Mr Alexander Morgan at the age of 93, the Rangiwahia district has lost a pioneer set tier. Born in Armagh, North Ireland, Mr Morgan came to New Zealand some 61 years ago. Living first at F 'dell, lie later removed to ltijngiwah-*, living in the vicinity of his late home. He cleared his farm, experiencing all the trials of the early settlers, blit lived to see the jubilee celebrations of liis start in the district.
Mr Morgan was an English Mason, but never entered into public life to any extent, although interested in the progress of Rangiwahia. He married Miss Margaret Elizabeth McClenaghan at Feilding 46 years ago and his family of seven all survive him. They are Miss Bessie Morgan, of Rangiwahia,; Mrs Grace Stern, of Shannon; Mrs Hope, of Papatoetoe, Auckland; and Alexander, of Hamilton; and John, Robert and Thomas, of Rangiwahia. One sister lives in England, and is also of an advanced age.
