STRIKES IN MAURITIUS.

SITUATION UNDER CONTROL. (British Official Wireless.) Received August 17, 11.45 a.m. RUGBY, Aug. 16. The Colonial Office has received the report from the Governor of Mauritius of the strike among casual labourers on four sugar estates. Though the strike is still continuing the situation is under control, but there has been bloodshed on one estate, where four men were killed and seven wounded, three seriously, in a clash between the estate staff and the strikers.
