MAN’S SUDDEN DEATH.

INQUEST AT AUCKLAND,

Per Pre6s Association. AUCKLAND. Aug. 16,

A verdict that death was due to the bursting of a blood vessel in the head was returned by Mr E. K. Hunt, Coroner, at an inquest into the death of Oliver Earl Thomas, aged 49, who was found dead at his home at Remuera on Sunday. Mr Thomas was field manager of the Auckland branch of an assurance societv. Evidence was given that Mr Thomas was last seen working in his garden on Saturday afternoon. He had been ill for some time. It is believed that he must ha.ve collapsed on entering ttie house while moving from a bedroom to the bathroom. A friend who had an appointment with him on Sunday afternoon found him lying in the paswife is absent at Melbourne.
