STAY-IN CONTINUES. Received August 16. 10.50 a.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 16. More than seven hundred workers at the-West Melbourne and Soutli-Mel-bourne gasworks continued their stayin strike over the week-end. An important development was the decision of the Road Transport Workers’ Union to make l “common cause” with the gas workers and to refuse to handle coal or oil for either works.
