CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES.

“Soul” was tlic subject of the Les-son-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The golden text was Psa. 42: 2: “My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God : when shall I come and appear before GodP” Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible: “Rejoice the soul of Thy servant: for unto Thee, 0 Lord, do I left up my soul. For thou, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto nil them that call upon Thee.” (Psa. 86: 4,5.) Also the following passages from, the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “Beauty as well as truth is eternal; but the beauty of material things passes away, fading and fleeting as mortal belief. The recipe for beauty is to have less illusion and more soul, to retreat from the belief of pain or pleasure in the body into the unchanging calm and glorious freedom of spiritual harmony.” (p. 247.)
