WOODVILLE

WOODVILLE, Aug. 12. The monthly meeting of the Woocfville Women’s Division was presided over by Mrs J. M. Graham. Five new members were welcomed (Mesdames Spellman. Gifkins, S. Wright, and Misses Harding and Meredith). A vote of sympathy was extended Mrs Bibby in her recent bo/cavcment. Mesdames Graham and E. Martin gave an account of the proceedings at the conference in Wellington. The competition was for the best nightdress, not to cost more than ss, Mrs J. Mitchell gaining first and Miss V. Stace second. A competition arranged by Mrs J. Hnipin was won by Mi-s Hume. The competition for the Linen was finalisod, the winners being Mrs D. Kenyon first, Miss K. Grinlinton second and Mis F. Blatchford third.
