A letter of appreciation is to be sent to the retiring board members. The election of officrs resulted in Mrs Small being elected minute secretary, Mrs It. Jamieson treasurer, Mrs F. G. Major and Mrs Priest national board members, and Mrs K. Dean National Council of Women representative.

Plans for Miss Stevenson’s visit were discussed, if; being decided to ask her to conduct a two days’ study pertaining to the aims and ideals of the Y.W.C.A. and the scope of making these ideals practical. It was also decided that a farewell “at home” be given for all subscribers and interested friends. Smither, were successful in gaining places in the Manawatu representative B grade team. It was reported that although only ten girls had been placed in positions, a great deal of interviewing and arranging had been necessary, demanding much of the secretary’s time. There were still 12 positions on the books. Four people, it was reported, had been found boarding quarters during the month. The flower week list was arranged. Tt was arranged for Mrs Small and Mrs Dean to give a resume of the educational conference, recently held in Wellington, at the September meeting.
