WEDDING

TAYLOR—A’COURT

A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Broadway', on the morning of Tuesday, August 10, when Marjorie Todrick, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs H. T. A’Court, of Palmerston North, was married to Harold Edward, second son of Mrs J. F. Taylor, of Lyall Bay, AA'ellington. Ilcv. Father Barr-Brown, of Takapau, officiated at Nuptial Mass and Mrs AV. E. Pearce, of Sanson, aunt of the bride, presided at the organ. Friends of the bride had decorated the church with spring flowers in shades of red and yellow. Escorted by her father, the bride looked charming in porcelain blue bhuchelin°crepe with navy accessories, and trimmed with grey fur. She carried a boucpiet of red flowers, with touches of blue.

Miss Shirley A’Court, sister of the bride, was in attendance as bridesmaid wearing Gloucester blue- bouchelin crepe, with white trimmings, and her bouquet was also of crimson flowers. The bouquets had been made by Mrs AAL J. Croucher, a friend of the family. A reception was held later at the Tlosco tearooms, where Mr and Airs A’Court, Mrs and Miss Taylor received their friends. Airs A’Court wore a grey woollen suit with coat and accessories to match, ami a corsage of cyclamen. Mrs Taylor wore brown floral marocain, with accessories to tone, also a fur coat, her corsage being of golden freesias. Aliss A’Court, aunt of the bride, wore a navy ensemble and hat to tone. Aliss Taylor, sister of tho bridegroom, wore a red floral frock with three-quarter coat of brown carraeul and corsage of rod anemoiies. The luncheon room was exquisitely 7 decorated in a beautiful colour scheme of yellow and orange, with/Iceland poppies and narcissi harmonising with tMe two-tiered wedding cake which had departed from the usual white. The cake had been made by Airs V. E. Pearce and iced by Airs A. K. Drew, of Sanson. After luncheon the bridal party and guests were entertained at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride travelled in a smart green tweed frock, with beige fur-cloth three-quarter coat and bottle green accessories.
