PASSING SHOWERS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. Though a very intense anti-cyclone still covers the Dominion, the highest pressure is over the southern portion of the South Island and conditions therefore favour a continuance of south-westerly winds over the North Island. Forecast: Moderate to strong southeasterly winds. Weather changeable with occasional passing showers and fine intervals; temperatures cold. Seas rather rough to rough.
