HEAT AFFECTS THE POPE. Received August 14, 10.40 a.m. ROME, Aug. 13. The Pope is suffering from the excessive heat, the temperatures remaining over 90 degrees. His regular audiences with the heads of congregations and officials have been cancelled, but the collective pilgrim audiences arc continuing. The Vatican Press Bureau describes the Pope’s condition as “relatively satisfactory.”
