AUSTRALIAN MOTION LAPSES. Received August 14, 10.35 a.m. CANBERRA, Aug. 14. The Australian Governments,, at their meeting to-day, again discussed tho proposals to introduce a forty-hour working week in Australia. The three Labour Governments, Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania, supported the motion, which received no support from the Comonwealtli or the three remaining States, and lapsed.
