PORT OF LONDON.

IMPROVEMENT TO DOCK. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 12. A scheme for improving Millwall Dock, estimated to dost £IIO,OOO, has been adopted by the Port of London Authority and is to he begun immediately. It will be part of the authority’s £12*000,000 general port improvement scheme.

Millwall Dock is about four miles from London Bridge, and is regularly used by several leading shipping lines, including the Elder Dempster Line, tho United Shipping Company, the Swedish Lloyd Line, and the Stride Line, as well as by grain-carrying ships. The dock will be deepened, the quay widened and new storage erected in such a way as to cause a minimum of disturbance to shipping.
