FRENCH POLICE AND BANDITS. PARIS, Aug. 13. One man was killed and two seriously injured at Aix-eu-Provenco in a street revolver battle between police and bandits who broke into a distillery, stealing spirits valued at £2OO. They were surprised by police, but the bandits fired a volley and fled. In a running battle one bandit was shot dead, two were brought down, and a fourth was captured. A fifth escapeu.
