THE LONDON MARKET. BUTTER QUIET. Received August 13, 11.45 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 12. The butter market in London during the past week has been quieter in tone and on the cheese market a weaker tendency has prevailed. Current quotations are as follow, those previously cabled being included in parentheses; Butter.—Danish, 124 s (1245). Choicest salted: New Zealand, 116 s (117 s); Australian, 115 s (116 s). Unsalted: New Zealand, 117 s (117 s to 118 s); Australian, 116 s (116 s). Cheese.—New Zealand: White, 70s to 70s 6d (74s to 74s 6d); coloured, 68s to 68s 6d (71s to 775). Australian: White, not quoted (not quoted); coloured, not quoted (not quoted).
