With a high standard to maintain, the committee of the Te Kawau Basketball Association had every reason to congratulate itself on the success of the function held on Tuesday evening. The decorations in the hall were carried out in purple and gold, while the walls and ceiling of the supper room wero hung with pale pink streamers and lanterns. Not the least of the aids to enjoyment was the supper. Following this the president of the association (Mrs Wilson, of Oroua Downs) presented the trophies to the winning teams. Mrs Scott was gowned in black chiffon velvet, with touches of gold lame, and was presented with a beautiful bouquet by Miss I. Murphy. The Wednesday competition for the Dtivisou-llill Cup was won by Rongotea for the second year in succession, and was recoived by Mrs C. W. Davison. The members of the team were Mesdames C. Davison, W. A. Davison, Misses J. George, M. Fraser, P. Teaz, P. Duffy, J. Fades, 0. Bottcher, and F. Knox, all of whom received miniature cups. ’ The Verna Harriman Cup for the runners-up was received on behalf of Oroua Downs by Miss I. Thompson, the team being Misses P. Gray, J. Cotton, J. Jarvis, R. Sim, M. Christensen, I. Thompson, M. Scott, I. Procter and E. Dalgety. The Monday competition was won by Kopane, the following receiving miniature cups: Misses G. Parsons. J. Glasgow, 15. Hill, M. Arnott, F. Boddy, L. Russell.R. Tutty, B Hall, and Mrs E. Gloyn. Phe Misses K. and E. Hill Cup, won by Rongotea as runners-up, was received by Miss Knight for her team—Mrs C.
