Six building permits for work valued at £2196 were issued in Fcilding during July. The Feilding Amateur Cycling Club will not conduct a road cycle race tomorrow.
In a Rugby football match played against the Hawora High School yesterday, the Feilding Agricultural High School team was defeated 11—6. The Feilding High School basketball team was defeated by 13 goals to 7 That rate collections to date were £4OO more than was the case last year was a statement made by Cr A. Campbell at the monthly meeting of the Oroua County Council yesterday. Fcilding Labour Tarty members are requested to attend their meeting on Saturday night, when Mr E. Bowater, Sanson branch, will address the meeting. A dance in aid of the football queen (Miss TV. Dewe) wits held at the Aorangi Maori meeting-house last evening. The spot waltz was won by Mr T. Dewe and partner, Miss L. Dungey. _ The fortnightly meeting of Court Loyal, A.0.F., was held on Wednesday when a hearty welcome was accorded Courts Hinemoa and Mannwatu, who paid a fratornal visit. In acknowledging the welcome, the Chief Rangers of both visiting courts complimented the local court on its well attended meeting. At the conclusion of the business, nil sat down to supper, following Which dancing and cards were enjoyed. -
