COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
A jolly party was j held in the West End School Hall recently to celebrate the eoming-of-age of Mr Jack Mudgway, third son of Mr and Mrs H. Mudgway, about 80 guests being present. Mrs Mudgway was smartly attired in black lace with a black velvet bridge coat. The hall was attractively decorated with greenery, arid dancing was enjoyed. Items were contributed by Miss M. Penketh, Mr E. Grantham (Masterton), and Mr L. Smith. Mr L. Mudgway (Auckland), the guest of honour’s eldest brother, officiated ns M.C. The handsome cake adorned with 21 candles,, which was mado in- Mrs Mudgway, was cut during supper. Mr A. Barsanti presented Mr J. Mudgway with a key autographed by the guests, and wished him every success in the future.
When opening a tin, always 'work the opener towards you. This makes the tin easier to open, and prevents jagged edges.
