OYSTER BOAT SINKS

FISHERMEN ESCAPE. COLLISION AVHILE AYORKING. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, JTug. 11. At 11 o’clock this morning, while oystering on the beds off Bluff, the oyster boat Rita, owned by Irwin and Company and commanded by Captain AI. Joss, collided with the Black Cat, another oyster boat owned by the Direct Fish arid Oyster Company and commanded by Captain AA\ Johnson. The Black Cat was hit amidships, her engines were damaged and she sank within 20‘ minutes. The crew were taken off by the Rita and the AA 7aitangi. The sea was fairly calm and no one was injured.
