FARMERS’ PROTEST.

ALARM AT RADIO POLICY. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN. Aug. 10. After a lengthy discussion in committee the Otago Provincial Council of the Farmers’ Union to-day decided to express its alarm at the “gagging” of broadcasting by the Government. This was done by means of the fol lowing remit, which will he forwarded to Wellington : “That the Dominion executive be asked to protest emphatically against the recent action of the Government in refusing to allow tire Farmers’ Union, clnircn organisations and other bodies to broadcast matters relevant to their activities and of interest to the general public.”
