WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.

YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. There were no special features in the Wellington slock and share markets yesterday. A nicdcrato turnover was recorded, chiefly in industrial and trading issues, which were traded at steady rates. No sellers were offering in Government loans, which were steady to firm on a strong demand. Bank shares continued dull, tho only recorded dealings being in New Zealand at 443 6d. Commercial of Australia were easy at 18s, sellers asking 4d higher. Insurance issues were little changed, except New Zealand, which eased to 64s 9d, sellers 65s 9d, ex dividend. Gas, coal-min-ing, meat-freezing, woollen, timber and brewery issues were all on the quiet side, quotations showing little change. Miscellaneous industrial and trading shares were more active. Dunlop Pcrdriau advanced sharply to 245, sellers 24s 4d. G. J. Coles cased to 98s 6d, sellers asking Is higher. Gold-mining shares wore neglected.' Broken Hill South were firm at 51s 9d, a sale being made at that price.
