GIRLS’ MUSIC CLUB.
Mrs R. S. Law presided over the monthly' musicale of the Palmerston North Girls’ Music Club, which was held in St. Andrew’s schoolroom last evening, there being a good attendance. Bowls of Iceland poppies, daphne and violets were effectively arranged. - A programme was presented as follows:—lnstrumental trio, “First Movement D Minor Trio” (Mendelssohn), Mrs J. Fisher, Misses G. McKenzie and E. Eyre; vocal solo, “Morning” (Speaks), Miss G. Laurenson; pianoforte solo, “Devotion” (Liszt), Miss L. Buiek; vocal duct, “Snowdrops,” Misses G. Laurenson and L. McDonald; pianoforte solo, “Gigne and Saraband” (Duboury), Miss N. Tregurtha; violin solo, “First Movement Sonata” (Schumann), Miss B. Bartlett; vocal solo, “Yesterday and To-day” (Spross), Miss D. Junker (Pnhiatua) ; pianoforte solo, “Arabesque” (Debussy), Miss F. Anderson; vocal solo, 1 ‘Southern Mammy’s Lullaby” "(Metier), Miss I. Clark; pianoforte solo, “French Suite No 6” (Bach), Mies B. Bartlett; trio, “Andante in I) Minor” (Mendelssohn), Mr>; R. S. Law, Misses McKenzie and Eyre. The accompanistcs were Misses E Eyre and N. Tregurtha.
