RUBINI SUES FOR DIVORCE. “My Australian wife married me only to ga.in entrance to the United States,” Jan Rubini declared in his .suit at Hollywood for divorce from Adcle Rubini, formerly the Australian musical comedy star, Adcle Crane. Rubini, a violinist, accused his wife of saying: “I thought that I wanted to come to America, bat I find that I loathe America and Americans, I want to return to Australia. Your first wife gave you a raw deal, but wait until you sec the raw deal I’ll give you 1”
Rubini added that his wife kicked him when ho remonstrated with her for refusing to associate with his friends. The couple were married on November 27, 1929, in Melbourne, just after Adele Crane had completed a season as the load in “Lilac Time.” j
