A COMPROMISE POSSIBLE. SYDNEY, Aug. 10. The parties at the coal conference are particularly reticent, but it is regarded as a hopeful sign that the conference adjourned till to-morrow, which is interpreted to mean that the owners are prepared to compromise if that course is practicable.
