NATIONAL PARK.
BOARD MEETS MINISTER. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. A sympathetic hearing was given by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. W. E. Parry) to the representations by a deputation from the Egmont National Park Board. He undertook to consider giving the board permission to hold a district/art union in order that it might meet'its liabilities, and hinted at the possibility of taking legislative action to prevent the breeding of goats, which were causing destruction in the bush. The deputation asked ’for assistance in the payment of the final debt on the Plateau Road to the ski-ing grounds, 4000 feet up. and also requested the Government to assist the Dawson Fa'.ls committee to pav the £2OO incurred in roplaeing the electric light plant tlia.* was destroyed by flood.
