SOLDIERS’ SPURS.

TO RIDE ARMOURED CARS. LONDON, July 28. Although the cavalry are now driving armoured cars instead of riding horses, they are still issued with spurs, riding breeches and clasp knives for removing stones from horse’s hooves. The Secretary for War (Mr Hore Belisha) says that the object is “to maintain uniformity of equipment until new scales are introduced.”
