Rev. E. P. Blamircs, director of the voutli department of the Methodist Church, is a visitor to Palmerston North this evening. The death occurred yesterday, at Rongoten. of Mr Wm- Pool, at the ago oi' 91 year':. Mr Pool, who was the father of Mrs W. Amies, had not enjoyed good health for several months following an accident in which he sustained serious injuries. Dr Frank Dehenham, professor of geography at Cambridge University, passed through Auckland on his way to attend the Australian conference of thp New- Education Fellowship. Protocol Dehenham was a member of Captain Scott’s last expedition to the Antarctic as geologist and surveyor.
