ROAD CYCLING.
PROFESSIONAL RACE. The Counties’ Cash Cycling Club held a road race to Ashhurst on Saturday. The wind was somewhat difficult to contend with, but L. Flemming again annexed the .fastest, time., completing the course in 4lmin. 55 sec. Results: E. Pedlev (smin.). 4o min., 1: R. Alexander (Smin.'i, 48min_. 55sec., 2; L. Fleming (scr.), 41mm. 5o sec., 3. _ AMATEUR EVENT. Eleven riders participated in the Manawatu Amateur Cycling Clubs race to Awnhuri and back, on Saturday afternoon. Owing to the approach to the Awahuri bridge being dangerous For cycling, the turn took place on the Palmerston North side of the bridge. There was a strong head wind.
