FEILDING SALE.
'l'lie X.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Lid., report on Ihcir Feilding salt-: Owing to a shorter entry in the lat sheep -eelion prices, particularly for fat ewes, made a further substantial rise. Prime heavy owes sold at higher prices than 1 wethers. A small offering of in-lamb’ owes met a strong demand with a firming in values. The quality of the hoggets on offer was very mixed, and except of good Sorts bidding was hardly as free a 6 at latc sales. In the cattle section wc submitted a heavy yarding of both station and cx-dairv beef. A clearance was made at full late rates;. The quality in the daily section was for the most part inferior anti, although all lot 3 changed hands, the sale was inclined to drag, 'flic only lot of station cattle yarded was a nice line of l’.A. weanor steers, which sold readily at from £o 10s to £6 11s. Quotations: Fat hoggets, prime heavy, 31s 8d; others, 235, 24s 6d to 265. Fat wethers, medium. 35s 6d to 35s 8d; light. 32s 3d to 33s 4d. Prime heavy ewes, 3&s 8d to 39s sd; prime, 33s to 35s 7d; lighter, 28s to 31s. Five and 6-yr even, r.w. S.D. rams;, 30s, 31s to 31s 6d; mixed age, to 38s: medium 2-tcoth ewes, r.w. S.D. rams. 36s lOd; ewe hoggets, best. 37' 2d: others, 27s 6d to 33s 7d; wether hog gets, 18s 6d, 19s 3d, 20s *> 22s 8d; b.i hoggets, 18s, 18s 6d to 19s 7d. Cattle: For.. P.A. heifers, prime. £8 17s 6d to £9 11s, of here, £7 to £8 6s. Fat station cows, prime, 8 5s to £9 ss; others. £6 5s to £8 Is. Fat heifers, ex dairy, prime. £7 5s to £7 15s; lighter. £5 to £6 17s 6d. Cows, heavy, £6 7s od to £7 15s: others. £4 to £6. Vcnlers, £3 to £3 12s 6d.
