JAPANESE TROOPS. * CHINESE IMPASSIVE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Beceived August 9. 1.5 p.m. PEKIN, Aug. 8. Four thousand Japanese troops with full war equipment marched into Pekin to-day and occupied the main Chinese barracks in the Temple oi Heaven, while thousands of Chinese lined the streets and impassively watched the column go by. The column was preceded by cavalry squadrons and accompanied by 15 tanks, 10 heavy guns and 80 supply lorries. Earlier cables appear on page 7.
