(From Our Own Correspondent.) OHAKEA, Aug. 7. Mrs (I. IT. Bowater. late of Wanganui, and now of Auckland, has left for her home after spending a holiday as tho guest of Mr and Mrs 11. Masters. Miss G. Henderson, of Fordell, is staying with Mr and Mrs Masters. Weather records for the district kept at the school for the past two months wore as follow: —June: Average barometer pressure. 29.59 in: average temperature, 50.9 degrees; total rainfall, 2.05 in. July: Average barometer, 29.55 in; average temperatrue, 52.82 degrees: total rainfall, ,89in. Lambing is now in full swing in the district. Farmers are experiencing a fair amount of trouble through losses from sickness and other causes. Sheep farmers are working early and late to attend to their flocks.
