FROZEN MEAT TRADE.

LAMB MARKET VERY FIRM. MUTTON PRICES IMPROVE. The lamb market is very firm, with im- i proved prices for heavyweights. Mutton market: Wethers firm, with good demand. Ewo prices have advanced owing to improvement in consumption. Boot market: Frozen boot, fores weaker; hindquarters unchanged. Chilled beef firmer for hindquarters; fores slightly easier. New Zealand porker pigs: Firmer. Now Zealand baconcr pigs: Mooting with good inquiry, but prices nominal owing to short spot stocks.

The above report was received on- Saturday by the Meat Board from its London office, which advises that the following are the approximate prices realised for the week, basod on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions _of moat mentioned and aro for representative parcels of the goods oiFcring during the week, boing for business done on tile basis of delivered to Smithfiekl market and/or ex London stores.
